Brisbane is an exciting city to be in this weekend with the mathilda's market at Brisbane City Hall tomorrow from 9am - 1pm. Across the river at Southbank Young Designers Market is where hot toffee will be from 10 am - 4pm. Last but certainly not least and possibly the most exciting at the beautiful Old Museum the finders keepers markets are on for the first time in Brisbane. I've just come home from visiting and they are fantastic - such an amazing line up of talent! They are on until 9pm tonight and again tomorrow from 10 am - 5 pm. Now all you have to do is choose which one you'll visit or google Queensland Rail to start working out the best way to visit them all!!

lolly rounds...
I hope everyone had a wonderful long weekend! Ours was busy but good, Sunday was spent at the Southbank Young Designers Market - I forgot to take my camera so will link to some of the amazing talent that was there - My Girl, Jaime Beattie, Thea & Sami, Pret a Pawte, Ruby 2 Go Go , RE-read and many many more! The market keeps growing and growing and it's always so exciting to see new stalls with fresh ideas and new designs. Keep July 5th free for the next one!

getting ready...
...my glass cutting tools + my tiny kiln have been getting a workout this week as I have been busily preparing for the Southbank Young Designers Market. Starting from June the market will be held on the first Sunday of each month. It's held along Little Stanley Street from 10am - 4pm. Come and say hi :)

cards by Little Jane St.
These cards are by talented greeting designer Alarna Zinn of Little Jane St. At the last Southbank Young Designers Market our stalls were next to each other and we happily did a little trade. Once again the Little Jane St. stand was amazing, with lovely vintage props and interesting displays. I've been a fan of Little Jane St. for a while now and just LOVE the products and the attention to details like the hand sewn calico slip the cards come in. One of these cards is on it's way to Japan and the others ...well...I think they will look really nice framed in my studio :)

how was the market ?
Well we were lucky to have a fine sunny day, lots of people out and about, lovely stall holders selling amazing products so it was great! Thanks to everyone who came along. Here are a few pictures from the day...

market preparation...
The car is packed and ready for the Southbank Young Designers Market tomorrow. The last couple of weeks have been spent busily replenishing my lolly studs + drops, printing & cutting business cards and product tags (below). I had hoped to launch my new range of brooches + pendants (above) which are made using the off cuts and seconds from my hanafuda earring range but will have to save them for another day as I have completely run out of time.
If you are looking for something exciting to do tomorrow then head down to the markets - held on the grassy strip alongside Little Stanley St, Southbank 10am - 4pm. Some of the designers who will be there are Jaime Beattie, Little Jane St. and Thea + Sami so it's sure to be another great day!
If you do come along please drop by and say hello, it's always nice to meet people in person.
