coffee at honeybee...

I so want to sit in that colourful courtyard with a friend and enjoy a coffee. Yesterday I sent a package of hot toffee to Wyan and the gorgeous girls at honeybee in Newcastle. Looks like a lovely shop to find that perfect gift for someone!

in the studio..

Of late I've had quite a lot of help in the hot toffee studio. Mum has been busy sewing up my little jewellery pouches and making bird garlands. Dad was a machine on my button machine making 100's of badges and magnets. On top of all the hot toffee work they did I was totally spoilt and did not cook for the whole 7 days they were staying with us. Thankyou - it was so nice to have such great company in my studio! Past the sky x

In 20 minutes I will be heading out the door to the Boutique Markets let's hope by the time I reach Hamilton there is no sign of rain. If you are looking for something to do today why not head to Portside Wharf at Hamilton and walk through the markets which are filled with handmade treasures. 8am - 1pm. Hope to see you there!

Spun Mud

I can not wait to see the work of ceramic artist Bec Lindemann in person on Saturday. I have an absolute love of ceramics that often finds me standing still simply holding a mug or bowl in my hands - it makes me feel at peace and so so happy.

I'm teaching tomorrow so have scheduled a few more posts on the talent that will be part of the market on Saturday.

Flight Industries

I'm having sooooo much fun. I've had a very busy start to the year and haven't had a lot of time for blogging or catching up on what my fellow bris Style members have been up to. I'm loving these PDF files of 'TO DO' lists by artist Sally Flynn of Flight Industries. There is a great interview with Sally over at Printsy which gives an interesting insight into the inspiration and practices behind her work. If you would prefer to meet her in person then come along to the bris Style Indie Market..
