Remember my tin of possibilities? well I found these 2 stencils at our local market on the weekend - my eyes lit up when I saw them and I just had to make them mine. They are now on the wall alongside this.

overdue...
It's been a busy few weeks (good but busy) out of blog land for hot toffee with 4 am rises, a new stockist (more about that very soon), school excursions, 2 migraines in one week (happened to fall in the last week of school), markets, visits to stockists, exhibition deadlines, coffee with friends, lovely family visits, afternoon strolls with my best mate - Pochi and unfortunately way way way too much time spent in the car.... !! This blog has been terribly neglected and as it's my first day back teaching tomorrow I'm going to do my best to do a quick catch up..in pictures...before I get too far behind!
secretly taken through dining room window - this scene (breakfast with my family on our deck) makes me extremely happy!

my 'always happy' mate Pochi
see that caravan with the rainbow stripes?
I can imagine it in our yard as my little studio...crazy?
I just missed my favourite view from the car - but still very pretty ..yes?
There is a great interview with Michelle Gillies, owner of nook over on the finders keepers blog. I mentioned a while ago that nook was a new stockist for me and am so happy to see this lovely shop has been so well received by the Brisbane community. .. I can't wait to visit again to see the amazing products Michelle stocks and to see how the lettuce is progressing in the front garden (will take a photo next time)
Also a nice surprise to wake up to yesterday - a message saying 'your shop is lovely, I've featured your earrings on my blog today' here.

Scotland Yard Antiques
We discovered Scotland Yard Antiques* late last year when my parents were staying with us for the weekend, we drove out to Esk for lunch and through Marburg on the way home. We just had to stop when we saw this shop! I've been meaning to visit again but hadn't done so until last Sunday after the New Earth Markets. This is the kind of antique shop you walk into and can't help but say 'look at that', 'look at this' and 'ooohhh look at that'. With furniture, mirrors, chandeliers, toys, ornaments, pictures, signs, suitcases...it is quite exciting...even the cobwebs make me happy! The shop is filled to the brim and items spill out onto the street and into another little shop 2 doors up.
*Scotland Yard Antiques - Corner Queen & Edmond Streets, Marburg. Open 7 DAYS!

nook...
I'm so excited to be stocking at the recently opened 'nook' in West End. It's filled with gorgeous handmade & eco friendly products by Australian and overseas designers...it also has lovely hemp wool, string and some kits to make yourself all sorts of goodies from tote bags to fabric baskets. I was in store yesterday chatting to lovely owner Michelle and it was like a dream seeing so many awesome products in the one place. It's great to see the work of so many local designers like Chi Designs, Jellygnite , Little Jane St and Paper Boat Press just to mention a few! I couldn't help but bring one of edward and lilly's sweet bunnies home with me. If you love handmade, are looking for a special gift or simply love shopping then pop into this little store - 19 browning st, west end (open Tues - Sat from 10am)
